Elk Drawing This year, DNR allowed 3 permits to be drawn for the herd that currently numbers in the hundreds state wide.  Other permits are/were offered via treaty with Indigenous tribes as well as one raffle through the RMEF. An Old Bird A common tern in Wisconsin was aged at 26 years old.How do they know? Well, it was banded as a chick in 1995!
