Badlands, Summer 2019 Pierre, S.D. – South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks (GFP) has officially launched their new photo contest, Snapshot South Dakota. This department-sponsored contest will focus on capturing the beauty of our outdoor resources in South Dakota. The photo contest is open to all individuals, regardless of photography experience. Hunters, anglers, campers and all other photography lovers are welcome to participate. All photos are welcome to be entered, but there will be three specific categories: “Scenery,” “Water Recreation” and “Creatures of the Night.” Judging will consist of one “People’s Choice” and three “Best in Category,” resulting in four winners. Image via Wikipedia Outdoor Oklahoma magazine is on the search for photography that showcases Oklahoma's outdoors and wildlife for its annual Readers' Photography Showcase issue. The entry deadline for the annual contest is March 31, and the annual "Readers' Photography Showcase" article is featured in the July/Aug issue. Both professional and amateur photographers are eligible for the chance to have their digital photos displayed in the award-winning magazine. "This a great chance for us to show our readers what sportsmen and wildlife enthusiasts are doing and seeing all over our great state," said Michael Bergin, associate editor.
