The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Commission held its October meeting in Spearfish last week.

To hear audio of the meeting, click  here .   The Wildlife Management Institute presented their summary of the Big Game Management review to the Commission.  Their presentation can be seen  here .   The Commission set the 2014 Mountain Lion Hunting Season with a harvest limit of 75 total cats or 50 female cats.   Several fishing regulations were proposed, including: a prohibition on felt soled waders, a statewide increase in the possession limit of three times the daily limit for all fish and several spearing modifications.   The Commission also proposed adjustments in hunting, fishing and park license fees.   For more information on these proposals, and for meeting highlights, click  here .   To comment on any of these proposals, click  here . Catch 'Em While You Can!

10-inch Rainbow Trout are Being Stocked Across Nebraska      If the recent warm weather has you itching to get outside, we have the perfect reason: our annual round of spring trout stockings!  Hatchery trucks have been out stocking catchable sized rainbow trout in many Nebraska locations this month and we have additional locations coming up, including this Saturday's stocking bonanza.
