Michigan: Snowshoe, cross-country ski and more at 'Just Add Snow' programs this February

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) will host snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, ice fishing, dog sledding and more winter-themed events at nine DNR visitor centers across the state in February. In most cases, equipment is available to borrow if participants don't have their own. Indiana: Wildlife in Winter workshop

Image via Wikipedia This workshop will explore physical, chemical and behavioral adaptations animals have made in order to survive the winter on Feb. 25 in the Natural Resources Education Center at  Fort Harrison  State Park. Featured activities will come from Below Zero, a guide published by the Canadian Wildlife Federation. Participants will receive a copy. The workshop will run from 1-5 p.m. There is a $20 workshop fee. Space is limited to 20 participants. Register before Feb. 17 by  email  or by calling  (317) 562-1338 .
