In our earlier days, travel planning was all about the shoestring budget—finding the cheapest bed or campsite, no matter the trade-offs. Today, our approach has evolved. For us, a "big trip" starts by securing high-value accommodations in an incredible setting without breaking the bank. Once we know airfare is manageable and the destination offers the culture, landscape, and outdoor recreation we are looking for, we zero in on where we will lay our heads. Image via Wikipedia Volunteers with the St. Louis Audubon Society will lead this walk for children ages 6 and up on Sunday, September 12th at 10 am on the River Trail at Castlewood State Park. Bring your kids (or grandkids) to see and learn about our amazing birds and their surroundings. Follow Big Bend Rd to Ries Rd and turn south. Turn left on Kiefer Creek Rd, go past the office to the dead end parking lot at the River.
