Michigan: It's a tradition! Enjoy Free Fishing Weekend Feb. 16 & 17

It's becoming a tradition in Michigan's state parks! For two days twice a year, families and friends can enjoy one of Michigan's premiere outdoor activities -- fishing -- for FREE!

The 2013 Free Fishing Weekends are Feb. 16 and 17 for winter and June 8 and 9 for summer.

All fishing license fees will be waived for the two weekends. Residents and out-of-state visitors may enjoy fishing on both inland and Great Lakes' waters for all species of fish. All fishing regulations will still apply.

Many parks and recreation areas are holding special events such as fishing clinics and contests. Learn more at www.michigan.gov/fishing.
