Enjoy the cold and snow at your favorite state park or reservoir this month, or stay warm inside with your friends and family. 
Get outside...
• You’ve got just one month left to experience therefrigerated toboggan at Pokagon State Park. The last day to ride is Feb. 26.
• Reservoir Ramble Geocache Challenge at Monroe Lake is Saturday, Feb. 4. You may begin anytime between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. All "cachers" who complete the entire challenge by 4 p.m. will be entered into a drawing to win a 2012 State Parks & Reservoirs Annual Entrance Pass. 
• Raise money for Special Olympics in the Polar Plunge on Feb. 11 at Versailles State Park, or enjoy the 3K Polar Climb/Run through the park’s scenic hills. Contact the park at (812) 689-6424 or Ripley County Tourism for more information.
• Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics on Feb. 18, atDeam Lake SRA. Interested plungers can register and find more information online.  
• Brush up on your winter tree identification in a Winter Tree ID/Winter Botany Workshop at Brown County State Park on Feb. 11 from 10 a.m.- noon. Register online or call (812) 988-5240. 
• Take an Owl Prowl at Monroe Lake on Feb. 13 or 16. Each session begins at 6 p.m. Register before Feb. 9 by calling(812) 837-9546 or email. 
• Check out the Cabin Fever Festival at Falls of the Ohio State Park on Feb. 18. Learn how to ID animal prints in the snow and take a hike with an interpreter. 
• If you’re up north, check out the Salamonie Lake Eagle Watch on Feb. 18 or 19, where you can caravan to watch these birds at Indiana’s largest documented eagle roost. Meet at the Salamonie Interpretive Center at 3 p.m. each day. Register by calling (260) 468-2127.

• Plan a great Valentine’s weekend with your favorite person at one of the Indiana State Park Inns. This year’s features range from special dinners to weekend packages that include music, breakfast, gifts and lodging. 
• Stop by the annual Cowboy Gathering at Salamonie Lake’s Interpretive Center at 5:30 p.m. on Feb. 25 for cowboy stew and more. Share a meal, hear about some riding adventures and enjoy the company of fellow equestrians. You don't need to be a horse owner to attend. Register at (260) 468-2127.
