Oklahoma Fishing Report for 11/6/2015

FISH AND WILD GAME RECIPES
CENTRAL

Hefner: November 3. Elevation normal, water 65-69 and clear. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs around docks and the dam. White bass and striped bass hybrids slow on lipless baits, sassy shad and chrome gay blades around points and riprap. Walleye fair on jerk baits and lipless baits along riprap. Channel catfish fair on cut bait and punch bait along shorelines. Largemouth bass slow on crankbaits and jigs along riprap. Report submitted by Lucky Lure Tackle.

Overholser: November 2. Elevation below normal, water murky to muddy. Blue and channel catfish slow on live bait and stinkbait in the main lake and along shorelines. Carp slow on dough bait in the main lake and along shorelines. All other fishing slow. Report submitted by Vince Mesis, game warden stationed in Oklahoma County.

NORTHEAST

Keystone: November 3. Elevation above normal, water 64. Blue catfish fair on cut bait below the dam. Report submitted by Karlin Bailey, game warden stationed in Creek County.

Lower Illinois: November 1. Water 72 and clear. Trout slow below the dam due to suspended stocking. Very few trout in the river. Report submitted by Jerry Henry, game warden stationed in Sequoyah County.

Perry CCC: November 3. Elevation normal, water murky. Trout good on small lures and PowerBait along shorelines. Report submitted by Doug Gottschalk, game warden stationed in Noble County.

Sooner: November 3. Elevation normal, water clear. Striped bass hybrids and striped bass slow on sassy shad in the discharge. Report submitted by Doug Gottschalk, game warden stationed in Noble County.

Tenkiller: November 2. Elevation 1 ft. above normal, water 70 and clear. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass fair on crankbaits, spinnerbaits and plastic baits at 3-15 ft. along shorelines, brush structure and the main lake. White bass fair on hair jigs, in-line spinnerbaits and spoons at the surface in the main lake, along shorelines and around points; fish the windiest shorelines lake in the day. Crappie good on minnows, jigs and tube jigs at 5-15 ft. in the main lake, around brush structure and docks. Channel, blue and flathead catfish fair on punch bait, cut bait and minnows at 15-45 ft. in the main lake, along flats and points. Report submitted by Monte Brooks of Cookson.

NORTHWEST

Canton: November 1. Elevation below normal, water clear. Channel catfish fair on stinkbait and shad at 8-14 ft. in the main lake. Report submitted by Mark Walker, game warden stationed in Blaine County

Ft. Supply: November 2. Elevation below normal, water clear. Crappie slow on jigs around points. Report submitted by Mark Reichenberger, game warden Woodward County.

SOUTHEAST

Arbuckle: October 31. Elevation below normal, water 75-78 and clear to stained up creek arms. Largemouth, smallmouth and spotted bass on crankbaits, flukes, topwater lures and Chug Bugs from the surface to 12 ft. around brush structure, rocks, the main lake and windblown points. Channel catfish fair on minnows, shrimp, crankbaits and lipless baits at 10 ft. along creek channels, flats and shallows. Crappie, sunfish and bluegill fair on minnows, jigs, tube jigs and spoons around docks, brush structure and standing timber. White bass slow on jigs and spoons around rocks. Blue River: November 3. Elevation normal, water 60 and murky. Trout good on PowerBait, in-line spinnerbaits, spoons, dark colored woolly buggers and streamers at 2-6 ft. along channels, shorelines and the sandbar. Approximately 4,800 rainbow trout where stocked on October 30. Channel catfish fair on stinkbait and shrimp at 4-7 ft. along channels and rocks. Eufaula: November 1. Elevation 1/2 ft. below normal, water clearing. Largemouth bass fair on Alabama rigs, spinnerbaits and crankbaits at 2-10 ft. around docks, rocks and points. White bass fair on in-line spinnerbaits, tube jigs and slabs at 2-20 ft. below the dam and around points. Blue catfish good on cut bait, shad and punch bait at 4-20 ft. below the dam, along the river channel and the main lake. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs at 5-20 ft. around docks, standing timber and bridges. Report submitted by Ed Rodebush, game warden stationed in McIntosh County.

Konawa: November 2. Elevation normal, water 68 and clear. Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits, plastic baits and sassy shad at 6-12 ft. around points, the discharge and coves. White bass slow on sassy shad, tube jigs, spoons and jigs at 8-16 ft. along creek channels, the discharge and points. Channel catfish fair on hotdogs, worms, stinkbait and punch bait at 6-14 ft. in the discharge, around points and channels. Report submitted by Tyler Howser, game warden stationed in Seminole County.

Lower Mountain Fork: October 28. Stocked 1,534 pounds, approximately 3,580 rainbow trout on October 28. Report submitted by April Drake, secretary at the Southeast Regional Office.

Robber's Cave State Park: October 28. Stocked 382 pounds, approximately 886 rainbow trout on October 28. Report submitted by April Drake, secretary at the Southeast Regional Office.

Robert S. Kerr: November 1. Elevation normal, water clear. Largemouth bass slow on spinnerbaits at 5 ft. along coves and creek channels. Blue and channel catfish fair drifting and on juglines baited with shad and chicken liver at 10 ft. in the river channel and main lake. Crappie slow on minnows and tube jigs at 10 ft. around standing timber and coves. Report submitted by J.D. Stauffer, game warden stationed in Haskell County.

Texoma: November 1. Elevation below normal, water 72 and muddy to the north and clear to the south. Largemouth and smallmouth bass good on buzz baits, plastic baits and crankbaits at 5-20 ft. around brush structure, the river channel and riprap. Striped and white bass good on live shad and sassy shad at 10-25 ft. below the dam, along the river channel and coves. Channel and blue catfish good on live bait, worms, stinkbait and ghost minnows at 10-20 ft. below the dam, along riprap, creek channels and active cleaning stations. Crappie, sunfish and white bass good on tube jigs, small lures, minnows and live small shad at 5-15 ft. around brush structure, docks, riprap Kansas Creek and upper Rock Creek. Paddlefish fair at 10-20 ft. below the dam. Report submitted by Danny Clubb, game warden stationed in Bryan County.

SOUTHWEST

Foss: November 3. Elevation 7 ft. below normal with gates closed, water mid-60s and clear. Striped bass hybrids good drifting live bait. Catfish good on liver and shrimp. White bass fair. Walleye slow. Report submitted by Eric Puyear, B & K Bait House.

Tom Steed: November 3. Elevation normal, water 62. Blue and channel catfish fair on cut bait, shad and stinkbait on bottom along flats. Report submitted by David Smith, game warden stationed in Kiowa County.

Waurika: November 1. Elevation normal, water 68. Crappie fair on minnows and jigs around brush structure. Blue and channel catfish slow on chicken liver, stinkbait and cut bait around points, along shorelines and the main lake. Report submitted by Chris Stover, game warden stationed in Stephens County.
